From the very beginning I wanted my hat to be exactly this shade of pink.
However, it is not possible to buy millinery materials of this colour. So, I overlapped the Magenta/Fuchsia and Perfect Pink colours (Designer Master) to create this shade of pastel pink.
There was also no yellow sinamay available in the desired shade. So I needed to play with yellow as well, finally creating a vibrant but a not too striking yellow.
Other materials used: sinamay and horse hair (both white originally), black, white and yellow Dye-na-flow, millinery wire, the block for the crown was found in my hat block collection, the block for the brim was sourced from Torb and Riener’s hat block library.
