Oaks Day – the jewel in the crown of the Cup carnival, if you ask me.
Not only is it traditionally celebrated with brightly coloured outfits, but it is also the day the Myer Millinery Award takes place on the main stage.
Not to mention also the Best Dressed Lady of the Day and the National Final of the Myer public fashion contests that have been held throughout all states in Australia, during the year.
Well, many would say that weather could be better this year, but the flash of bright colours was everywhere, even well before you arrived at the entrance.
Once you passed through the park gates you found yourself bathed in an intense kaleidoscope of colours.
