Fashion is always cyclical.

I created this pink headpiece late last year because the style was trending. Even so, somehow it has very significant similarities with women’s headwear that was popular in the southern regions in my country 150-250 years ago.

Here is another example in my wardrobe collection of how contemporary fashion trends pick up on earlier traditional trends and cycle through time.

This outfit I made only a year ago,

but somehow it has many similarities with the children’s clay toys that have been part of a well known 400 year old tradition in a particular regional area of my country.
